Man, I love this cover. Also, I love writing Spider-Man. Even when I'm doing terrible things to him like this.

Time Lapse Video of Free Comic Book Day 2012 at Star Clipper

Star Clipper in St. Louis is one of the finest comic shops in the country. Their Free Comic Book Day was an absolute madhouse. The good kind of madhouse. They had live music, huge stacks of free books, and as you can see, long lines of fans. Plus a bit of me in there somewhere. Helluva great day.

Where the hell have I been?

I obviously haven't been posting here much lately. What can I say, it's been a busy couple months. But now my runs on WOLVERINE and PUNISHERMAX are both wrapped, and SCALPED is almost there as well. And I'll soon be done with my work on AVENGERS VS. X-MEN. After that, I'll be down to just INCREDIBLE HULK and WOLVERINE AND THE X-MEN. At least for a while. But I can't say anything more about that.

I hope to start writing here more in the coming weeks. Since my CBR column wrapped up last year, I haven't had a place to pour my thoughts, what few there are. So in other words expect some rants about football and hillbilly music in the very near future.

One thing I have been doing a lot of lately is running my mouth in front of cameras. I sat down with the MTV cameras at C2E2 to talk about AvX for their ongoing behind-the-scenes series called "War Journals." And more recently, a crew came out to my house and filmed me in my office, babbling about comics and showing off my wife's skull collection, and even followed me to the comic store and to Oklahoma Joes BBQ. It was definitely as close as I'll ever come to having my own reality show.

Thank God for that.

Here's a bit of me babbling at C2E2:
